Something Is Happening
Marena Benoit
something is happening
ripping
crushing
a hand around my waist
a touch of my nose
a brush of my shoulder
really feels like a punch in the gut
a breaking of my teeth
a ripping out of all my hair
nothing concedes in nature save
the crashing of a waterfall
but even that is beautiful. there is no beauty
here where something Is happening
